Summer Camp

• This summer The Playroom is turning up the heat! Once again we will be offering an action packed, fun filled summer vacation camp for children ages 5-12. Are you looking for fun, quality care for your school-aged child? Look no further- The Playroom is offering a summer program with before & after care, opening June 2011. Our program has a lot to offer including highly qualified staff, an awesome facility, a variety of field trips and arts & crafts. The facilty has an indoor Cedarworks play structure, bounce house, climbing wall, game tables, board games, toys, outside play ground, sports field, climbing wall and much more.

Our camp is like no other! HUGE bounce houses, carnival games, 16' water slide, 32' double lane slip n slide, sumo suits, dance classes, we are also offering a anti-bullying & self defense course FREE to all kids who enroll, games, Wii Fit and movies for rainy days, Air Hockey, Ping Pong Table, Lego Table, Arts & Crafts, field days and so much more. Field trips include fun-filled day at great places like Children’s Museum, Rockland Breakwater & Mini Golf, Owlshead Lighthouse/Beach, Bowling, Funtown/Splashtown, beach days, Boothbay Aquarium, Flagship Cinemas, Grey Zoo and much more!

• Home Base days will offer a daily curriculum designed to enrich your child's life by exposing a creative world of arts, introducing them to the grace of dance and getting healthier by engaging in sports. Play time will include time various centers/areas, group guided activites, team building efforts, games and activities. We include open play time as well as exclusive access to our huge inventory of inflatables. Your child will also get a chance to play our Balloon Splash Game where the kids throw balls at a target in hopes of soaking a counselor, capture the flag, sports and more! We will do some great craft projects like pottery painting, building a birdhouses and fairy houses, decorating a vase, make puppets for a puppet show, tie dye, and many more fun activities. Our end of the year celebration includes a huge carnival, make-your-own Ice Cream Sundae, games and prizes!

• Director Jestine Burgess has worked at MSAD 40 since 2005 and is a substitute teacher who has work at summer camps including the YMCA . She has her Associates in Early Childhood Education and has made the Dean's list. She also has her Lifeguarding & First Aid, CPR/AED for Lifeguards, Standard First Aid, CPR—Adult, child & infant.

All counslers are required to have Infant, Adult First Aid and CPR Training, Background checks and personal references.

We are fully insured and licensed by the Department of Health & Human Services licensed child care facility.
